Welcome to eDok Ghana Technologies Ltd (“eDok,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the eDok platform, including our website, mobile application, and any related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

1. Use of Services

1.1 Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a legally binding agreement to use our Services. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
1.2 Registration: In order to access certain features of our Services, you may need to register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

(b) Using our Services in any manner that could interfere with, disrupt, negatively affect, or inhibit other users from fully enjoying our Services;
(c) Attempting to bypass, modify, or hack our Services or any security measures;
(d) Using our Services to transmit any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, junk mail, spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or any other form of solicitation;
(e) Impersonating any person or entity or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity;
(f) Collecting or harvesting any personally identifiable information from our Services;
(g) Engaging in any fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading activities.

2. Virtual Doctor Visits

2.1 eDok offers virtual and mobile doctor visits, allowing users to connect with experienced doctors remotely using their smartphones or computers.
2.2 By using our platform, you understand and acknowledge that virtual consultations may not be suitable for all medical conditions and situations. eDok does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of diagnoses, treatments, or prescriptions provided through our Services.
2.3 You agree to provide accurate and complete information about your health history, symptoms, and medical conditions during virtual consultations. Failure to provide accurate information may result in inappropriate diagnoses or treatments.

3. Appointment Scheduling

3.1 Our Services allow users to schedule appointments with healthcare providers through our platform.
3.2 You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide when scheduling appointments, including your contact information and availability, is accurate and up-to-date.
3.3 eDok reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments at any time for any reason. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any changes to your scheduled appointments.

4. Privacy and Security

4.1 eDok is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use, and disclose your information.
3.2 You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide when scheduling appointments, including your contact information and availability, is accurate and up-to-date.
3.3 eDok reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments at any time for any reason. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any changes to your scheduled appointments.

5. Medical Advice and Limitations

Medical advice provided on the eDok App is given by licensed medical professionals. However, accurate diagnosis is limited due to the lack of physical contact. Users may be advised to report to a hospital for a better assessment if deemed necessary.

6. Online Pharmacy

The online pharmacy services are provided by a third-party provider. Users are solely responsible for the purchase of medications, and eDok is not liable for any issues related to the online pharmacy services.

7. Prescription Delivery

7.1 eDok may offer prescription delivery services to users in certain locations. By using our prescription delivery services, you agree to provide accurate delivery information and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the receipt and use of prescription medications.
7.2 eDok reserves the right to refuse delivery of prescriptions for any reason, including but not limited to regulatory restrictions or concerns about patient safety.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 All content included in our Services, including text, graphics, logos, images, audio clips, and software, is the property of eDok or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
8.2 You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, transmit, display, perform, or otherwise use any content from our Services without the prior written consent of eDok.

9. Termination

9.1 We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to our Services at any time and for any reason, without prior notice or liability.
9.2 Upon termination or suspension, your right to access or use our Services will immediately cease, and we may delete or deactivate your account and all related information and files.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL EDOK OR ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE OUR SERVICES.

11. Governing Law

11.1 These Terms and any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or our Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ghana, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12. Changes to Terms

12.1 eDok reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. We will post the revised Terms on our website or notify you by email or through our Services. Your continued use of our Services following the posting of any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
